Behind the Project -

Symbolism/semiotics are a large part of human communication, people are constantly looking for a deeper meaning in interactions. With that said, anything can become a symbol as long as people are meant to interpret it beyond its literal definition. Visual content withholding symbolism provides a deeper layer to the design, creating meaningful content that triggers positive associations as well as familiarity. I wanted to spark a mental conversation and connection with the user of the cards — aiming for them to stimulate emotion and thought via symbolism rather than just being a paperweight.
